Pure Storage is holding its annual conference Pure//Accelerate techfest22, and at the event the company made several announcements, including the FlashBlade//S family of products and Evergreen//Flex.

FlashBlade//S utilizes a modular architecture for storage and provides double the density, performance, and power efficiency of previous versions.

According to Pure Storage, FlashBlade//S disaggregates compute from capacity, which allows storage, compute, and networking elements to be upgraded flexibly without causing disruptions.

It also helps companies prioritize sustainability by offering improved performance on capacity per watt, bandwidth per watt, and capacity per rack-unit.

“The architectural differentiation of FlashBlade//S is a result of better science driving innovation in both software and hardware,” said Matt Burr, general manager of FlashBlade at Pure Storage. “It enables exceptional performance, efficiency, and scalability, providing customers with flexibility and confidence in their long term unstructured data strategy. It is not only the last scale-out platform organizations will ever need, but also the right choice for meeting environmental and sustainability ambitions, which are increasingly important to customers.”

Evergreen//Flex is a new fleet-level Evergreen architecture that brings the Evergreen technology to Pure Storage’s full portfolio of offerings. Evergreen is a subscription-based storage solution.

Companies can also choose from Evergreen//Forever that offers a subscription for software and hardware, or Evergreen//One, which is a consumption-based service model.

“The growth of our Evergreen portfolio is a testament to Pure’s commitment to uncomplicating data storage and meeting customers where they are in their transformation to embrace new consumption models,” said Prakash Darji, general manager of the digital experience business unit at Pure Storage. Further distinguished with the launch of Evergreen//Flex, Pure offers the broadest procurement flexibility and choice across the storage industry today. We’re incredibly excited to continue offering our customers the ability to achieve better outcomes with flexible, simple storage.”
