“Empowering the Anywhere Business” is the theme for this year’s 2022 Gartner Infrastructure, Operations and Cloud Strategies Conference, returning in-person for the first time since 2019.

Businesses across the globe are challenged to bring value and innovation wherever their customers are, according to Gartner’s events team. Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) leaders have a critical role to play in transforming and enhancing their capabilities to empower the anywhere business. The focus needs to be on enhancing customer experiences and developing staff and skills, while building and operating resilient, sustainable, secure, and scalable platforms and systems.

This year’s events – Nov. 21-22 in London and Dec. 6-8 in Las Vegas – will kick off with the day one keynote in both locations focusing on “I&O Forward – Leading the Next Phase of Growth”. Gartner experts will help attendees understand how to intertwine I&O within their organization; rethinking I&O as an innovator and orchestrator to empower the anywhere business.

Day two at both events starts with a keynote on, “Unhiding Diversity and Inclusion Beyond the Checkboxes that Drives Innovation and Talent Retention”, focusing on diversity as a business innovation enabler, versus a compliance necessity, that successful organizations are leveraging as a competitive differentiator.

Gartner also plans several new additions designed to help attendees with the mission-critical priorities they are facing, here and now. Among these topics are:

Optimizing costs while delivering value. This is a consistent challenge for many organizations, and with the current economic uncertainty and threat of global recession, it’s more important than ever in order to manage I&O effectively. Our content delivers actionable insights for leaders to not only manage this situation but steer into it and enable growth. In Las Vegas, a full track is dedicated to this critical topic with a spotlight track on it in London.

I&O security is a vital component of an effective I&O infrastructure that supports operational resilience, security and compliance and for 2022, the conferences will provide more security content than ever before.  There will be a full track in Las Vegas and a spotlight track on the content in London.

In addition to the above, Gartner will present content focused on disruptive trends, practices and technologies, everything cloud, platform engineering-specific content, operations and edge, as well as sessions on skills, organization and leadership.

The 2022 events mark the 41st year that this conference has been held in the U.S., and the 18th year the event has been presented in London.
