Grafana Labs today announced the general availability of Grafana Assistant, a context-aware AI agent, along with the public preview of AI-powered Grafana Assistant Investigations, which extends Grafana Assistant to accelerate multi-step incident investigations.
“AI is transforming every part of the software lifecycle, and observability is no exception,” said Tom Wilkie, CTO at Grafana Labs. “With Grafana Assistant and Assistant Investigations, we’re not just making troubleshooting faster; we’re reimagining how engineers engage with their systems. By putting context-aware intelligence directly into Grafana, we’re helping teams shift from reactive problem-solving to a future where observability is proactive, collaborative, and accessible to everyone.”
Among the new and enhanced capabilities are query generation without deep syntax knowledge, in-context onboarding and learing support, as well as access controls for features such as rules, Assistant Investigations and MCP server management.
Assistant Investigations acts as an autonomous agent for incident response, analyzing metrics and performance for incidents and offering recommendations to mitigate or remediate them.
Spacelift Unveils First Codeless, Natural Language Infrastructure Provisioning Model
Infrastructure orchestration platform provider Spacelift today announced Spacelift Intent, an agentic, open source deployment model that enables cloud infrastructure provisioning via natural language. Intent is available as open source, or though an early access commercial version that is part of the Spacelift Infrastructure Orchestration Platform.
DevOps and Platform teams use Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps for mission-critical workloads, but many organizations want speed and agility in their non-critical workloads with the rigor IaC requires. That is what Intent provides, according to the company.
“Vibe coding has transformed how software is built, yet infrastructure automation is still stuck back in time,” said Marcin Wyszynski, co-founder and chief R&D officer at Spacelift, in the announcement“DevOps and Platform teams are writing HCL while their developer peers are prototyping and shipping features at lightning speed. With Intent, we asked, what if we could bring vibe coding to infrastructure provisioning, in a way that’s safe, governed and complementary to IaC? That’s what we’ve delivered with Spacelift Intent.”
Spacelift Intent leverages the same Terraform providers used in IaC workflows, while Intent inherits Spacelift’s policy engine, state management and audit trails. Further, any resource created by Intent can be promoted into full Terraform/Open Tofu code, according to the company.
ScienceLogic Expands AI Platform with Skylar
AIOps platform provider ScienceLogic has added enhanced offerings for obsevability, automation, AI and compliance built on its ScienceLogic AI Platform.
Skylar One, formerly SL1, is the observability foundation of the ScienceLogic AI Platform. It connects and synthesizes fragmented data silos, accelerates root cause analysis, and optimizes operations at scale. It also includes Skylar One Studio (formerly SL1 Studio) for out-of-the-box monitoring integrations via ScienceLogic PowerPacks.
Skylar Automation, formerly called PowerFlow, is the low-code orchestration engine that connects IT ecosystems – from ITSM, CMDBs to collaboration and cloud platforms.
Skylar AI is the intelligence layer of the ScienceLogic AI Platform, powering correlation, prediction, and proactive remediation through Agentic AI. It includes Skylar Analytics for unsupervised prediction and detection, and Skylar Advisor for plain-language guidance and actions to reduce MTTR.
Skylar Compliance, formerly Restorepoint, delivers centralized backup, recovery, and policy enforcement across multi-vendor infrastructures.
“With Skylar at the center of our platform, we’re moving organizations closer to a future where AI and agentic automation eliminate friction, accelerate remediations and free teams to innovate,” said Dave Link, CEO and co-founder of ScienceLogic. “This portfolio evolution marks a bold step forward for the IT industry—and a new era for ScienceLogic.”
