Cloud application management and orchestration company Morpheus Data released updates for its Morpheus multi-cloud management platform today, including enhanced OpenStack support, AWS CloudFormation automation support and support for storage and cloud using Dell Technologies.

Morpheus explained that with the updates to its platform’s OpenStack integration, users can now orchestrate actions like creating OpenStack Octavia load balancers, dynamically scaling and assigning for VMs, attaching OpenStack Neutron SDNs, assigning domain names, and accessing the hypervisor console through the Morpheus interface.

Morpheus’s cloud and platform-agnostic, JSON and YAML-script, infrastructure-as-code application blueprints will now feature templates for native AWS CloudFormation applications, joining the existing templates for HashiCorp Terraform, Microsoft ARM and Morpheus native.

“Morpheus lets IT operations teams to enforce governance and standardize provisioning processes while still letting DevOps teams increase agility with their toolchain of choice,” the company wrote in the announcement.

The company said it teamed up with Dell EMC for the last update, offering integration with Isilon and ECS which allows for file and object storage, in addition to Avamar data protection. Dell’s cloud services business, Virtustream, has also been integrated in the update for multi-cloud management.

“These new integrations, together with connectivity into over 20 other public and private cloud platforms will enable DevOps teams to instantly deploy new application stacks to any cloud, attach to unstructured data repositories, and establish data protection as part of a single workflow,” the company wrote.
