Dynatrace is trying to take on challenges associated with multi-cloud software with the release of Management Zones. The new solution collects performance data across full stack and multi-cloud environments, enabling organizations to ensure that users are able to see the information they need to improve productivity without compromising on security.

“Enterprise software is developed, managed and operated by thousands of people; therefore, it’s critical for performance insights to be filtered and personalized based on each individual’s role,” said Steve Tack, senior vice president of product management at Dynatrace. “Organizations need to make sure that teams continue to collaborate to build and manage great software without being blinded by superfluous data.”

Management Zones automatically detects environment information and delivers permission-based data access.

According to Dynatrace, the solution is fundamental to organizations today in a world where every business is a software business that has multiple different applications. In multi-cloud environment, this means there are millions of dependencies. Management Zones provides teams a way to cut through that complexity and be able to focus only on the insights relevant to them, the company explained.

“The delicate balance these days is ensuring operations teams and developers are empowered with exactly the right data visibility,” said Tack. “But, you can only set such complex permissions and monitor their effectiveness if you have AI at the core of your performance monitoring solution – doing it manually simply isn’t realistic.”
