Today, Qualcomm Technologies announced the release of the Gloria AI Edge Box in collaboration with Foxconn Industrial Internet. BKAV Corporation is the first to utilize this Cutting-Edge-On-Premise Solution.

Qualcomm foresees broad adoption of Foxconn Industrial Internet’s Gloria platform using their AI Solution, the Qualcomm Cloud AI 100. They anticipate that the platform will be used heavily among a variety of environments including: retail centers, warehouses, datacenters, and factories.

Gloria AI Edge Box with the power of Cloud AI 100 Interface accelerator optimized for edge compute offers 70 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of artificial intelligence computing power with its compact power-optimized system. In addition to this, Gloria is designed to support up to 24 FHD cameras for video analytic applications thanks to its deployment with the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform. This allows for the platform to be used in traffic analysis, security, and smart retail.

Gloria is also designed to support the option to employ 5G, which provides an ideal solution for broad-based deployments. On top of this, the platform is also designed to support indoor and outdoor high operating temperature environments.

According to Qualcomm, the Gloria AI Edge Box will be available later this year and commercial availability is expected to rollout in 2022.
